For these campers, the ANWB selected ninety-six charming campsites in the Netherlands: camping sites that excel in location, appearance, and hospitality. With spacious, green pitches in idyllic spots, such as in the forests, near the beach, or by a beautiful lake. Each one a dream location.
Often a charm campsite resembles nature camping. Usually, facilities such as a swimming pool, a restaurant, or a campsite shop are not or only limitedly available on the campsite itself, and entertainment is also not or only limitedly offered at most campsites. A charm campsite is neither too large nor too small: the number of pitches ranges between twenty and two hundred. This way, you never feel like just a number. You can expect a bit more personal attention from the campsite manager, as hospitality is highly valued at these campsites. Another characteristic of charm campsites is that they excel in terms of location: a beautiful view, lovely natural vegetation, or historic buildings in the immediate vicinity. Sometimes part of the campsite is a nature camping area. This is often one of the reasons to qualify this campsite as a charm campsite. As with other campsites, charm campsites tend to be a bit busier during the high season or special events.
