This is an upcycled product. Traces of its past may still be visible. Made from old coffee bean sacks, the cotton is scrap cotton from large textile factories. Discover IWAS! Upcycled products require less processing than recycled products, which means lower energy consumption and, consequently, lower CO2 emissions compared to recycling. In addition, we have a significant social impact: we provide our waste collectors with jobs, meals, and even education for their children. We support the community by giving them opportunities for growth, thereby ensuring sustainable growth for the younger generation as well.
Since the baskets are made from different recycled fabrics each time, they often look different on the inside—both the color and the pattern may vary. For this reason, the baskets are sold only by size and not by color or pattern.
