This briquette starter is very safe to use!
Fill the briquette starter with charcoal or briquettes and place it on the barbecue. Light a firelighter or firelighter cube under the briquette starter and wait until the top of the briquettes turn slightly white. Then open the bottom of the barbecue starter with the red button and your charcoal will fall safely from the bottom of your briquette starter into the barbecue.
With a normal briquette starter, you have to turn the barbecue starter upside down to throw the burning coals into the barbecue. This results in flying sparks, which can cause a fire hazard or, even worse, burns.
