Take you dog along safely and comfortably on every car ride with the Thule Allax Threshold car crate. This high-quality dog crate was specially developed for cars with a threshold in the trunk and is designed to protect both you dog and the car’s occupants in the event of an accident.

The Thule Allax Threshold has been extensively tested at the Thule Test Center and certified by TÜV SÜD. The bench has undergone front and rear crash tests as well as a simulated rollover scenario.

An important part of the safety design is the innovative crumple zone. Even when the crate is set to its shallowest depth, it still offers 10 to 13 cm of crumple space. In the event of a rear-end collision, this zone can compress, absorbing part of the impact and providing better protection for you dog.

Especially for cars with a trunk sill

The Threshold model was specially developed for vehicles with a raised threshold in the trunk. Depending on the size chosen, the bench is suitable for thresholds over 40 mm and up to a maximum of 170 mm for size XS, or 245 mm for S, M Compact, M, and L Compact.

The car bench is available in five different sizes and features an adjustable depth. This allows you to tailor the bench to both the available space in you trunk and the size of you dog. The rounded edges ensure a snug fit in the car.

Quiet and comfortable on the road

The high-quality construction is designed to prevent noise and rattling while driving. The straps ensure that the bench stays securely in place while on the road.

It’s comfortable to use every day, too. The door features a gas spring mechanism, allowing it to open and close smoothly. In addition, the bench has a built-in lock for extra security.

Thanks to the window and the openings in the crate, you have a clear view and you easily check on you dog while traveling.

Emergency hatch for added accessibility

The Thule Allax Threshold also features an emergency hatch. This allows the bench to be opened from the back seat if necessary. That way, the bench remains accessible even when the normal rear door cannot be used.

What size crate is right for your dog?
Choosing the right size dog crate is important for you dog’s comfort, safety, and well-being while traveling. The crate should allow you dog to sit, stand, turn around, and lie down in a natural position. However, it shouldn’t be so large that you dog slides around or gets tossed about while traveling, as this can cause discomfort or injury.

How you measure you dog:
To make sure the crate fits properly, measure you you withers height (the height from the ground to the top of the shoulder blades).
